Revitalizing Our Parks
In February 2026, the City of Atlanta’s Department of Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Park Pride, launched the ‘Love Your Park 2026’ initiative. This month-long volunteer program engaged nearly 1,000 residents in activities such as litter cleanups, mulching, and invasive plant removal across various parks. Habitat for Humanity’s 40th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project returned to Atlanta in May 2026, marking its first appearance in the city since 1988.
